In governance terms, Mark has done most things, including:


• chairing in both primary and secondary sectors

• directing the development of the country’s first ‘mixed MAT’ academy trust

• taking one of Oxfordshire’s biggest secondary schools from having a ‘notice of concern’ to ‘outstanding’

• leading Oxfordshire’s first secondary converter academy


Mark is an experienced external reviewer of governance, and has significant experience in this area, with primary, secondary and academy schools, as well as with MATs.



PUBLISHED WORK


The RIGHT Programme - a major governance initiative, created and developed to upskill chairs of Church schools in the Diocese of Oxford, the largest Anglican diocese in England, as well as Chichester.


Thinking Governance - a national governance programme, created and developed to help governing bodies of Church schools adopt a highly-effective way of developing school strategy.
