In governance terms, I’ve done most things, including:

• chairing in both primary and secondary sectors

• leading struggling schools to recovery using both IEB and Executive Committee models

• directing the development of the country’s first ‘mixed MAT’ academy trust

• taking one of Oxfordshire’s biggest secondary schools from having a ‘notice of concern’ to ‘outstanding’

• leading Oxfordshire’s first secondary converter academy

I’m also a National Leader of Governance - in that capacity, I’ve worked for many schools, contributing expertise to their governance systems.

I’m an experienced external reviewer of governance, and have significant experience in this area, with primary, secondary and academy schools, as well as with MATs.
